Plant construction and mechanical engineering for final vehicle assembly
Solutionchassis assembly, wedding
In final vehicle assembly, the ‘marriage’ refers to the moment when the body is connected to the drivetrain, which has been prepared and positioned on the assembly frame. The body is precisely positioned over the drivetrain using lifting technology, the two assemblies are bolted together with millimetre precision and then checked for correct connection and function. This process, which is automated by NC axes and robotics, is central to the quality and safety of the vehicle. Decades of experience enable MBN to convert and build such systems in the short conversion times required by customers for new vehicle derivatives.
cockpit installation
Cockpit installation refers to the production step in which the pre-assembled cockpit module, consisting of components such as the dashboard, steering column, controls, air conditioning and electronics, is integrated into the vehicle body. Special lifting and positioning systems ensure that the cockpit is precisely inserted into the body through the door opening. The cockpit is fastened with screws or clips and the correct installation is checked inline.
front-end assembly
The front-end module is attached to the body using user-friendly or fully automated lifting or positioning systems. It is precisely connected to existing components such as the engine, cooling system and cabling using screws or clips.
head Up Display installation
An automated and operator-free system inserts the HUD into the corresponding opening in the dashboard, usually above the steering column, and aligns it precisely. Positioning with millimetre precision is crucial in order to direct the projection correctly onto the windscreen or the projection surface.
