BMW Regensburg

In the largest overseas project in MBN's history, MBN and its US partner MBN Inc. are working for the end customer BMW in Spartanburg. The scope of supply and services includes various operating resources. In addition to the classic chassis installation, chassis upgrade and connecting conveyor technology, a large frame storage system and numerous frames are also to be delivered. The engineering, including all virtual services, was presented by our MBN colleagues in many meetings with the end customer. After the manufacturing and procurement time, a 3-week acceptance of the services took place at our premises in September 2024. A huge logistical effort for overseas transport followed through our shipping department. Over 60 containers and well over 100 packages left MBN for the USA. During the upcoming Christmas shutdown, over 60 colleagues from MBN & partners will be working to install the system and ensure the line restart in January. The project, including all ramp-up services, will continue until 2027 and is one of the most exciting volumes that MBN has implemented.
